Marketing your policy to supporters and donors
Adopting a plant-based menu policy is the best way to showcase your values to your supporters by taking a stand for animal welfare. We like to remind organizations that your community attends your events to support your mission, not solely for a meal. Adopting a vegan or vegetarian menu policy will show your supporters that your organization has compassion for all animals. To help educate and excite guests about your change in policy, brochures and other marketing materials can be displayed at events. If an organization feels that serving food at events isn’t the right fit for their community yet they still wish to adhere to their internal plant-based policy, try shifting the focus of the event from a meal to an activity instead - this could include a game night, sporting event, a dance or a community flea market. The options are endless!
